I am looking to have a polished piece powdercoated black. Is this possible? I wasn't sure if you could powdercoat an item that has already been polished.

I'm pretty sure you can the piece just need to be blasted first or roughed up so the powder coat can stick. What you trying to powder coat?

It kinda depends on the part.
If you are not using a translucent color, it should be blasted first for longevity of the finish.

Say it it is a polished rim. Everyone knows what it is. Can you take the tire off and sand blast it to have it done? Along with a friend I have been wondering this too. I hope we are talking about the same polish but is that possible?

Radiator cover. Found a cheap polished unit that I'd like to get powdercoated black. Sounds feasible...I'm going to give it a shot.
