I came acorss this and found it very interesting thought I'd share.

NOT MY CAR!!!

T-trim 3.00, AFM power pipe, 5.4 crank pulley, Snow kit, 8 rib, BAS, stock heads/cams/intake, built bottom 10cc piston 9-1 compression. 80mm Pro-M. BBK long tubes, off-road H pipe, MAC catback, 60 injectors, twin 255 inline AN 8 to the rails AN 6 return, UPR fuel rails. It saw 17psi on the dyno, 20 psi on the street. 17 degrees timing. (red line)

Turbocharged innovations custom 4v kit (Magicbus), T70 Master power turbo, Tial 38mm gate 14 psi spring, 3 inch piping, custom intercooler, same engine as above (stock heads/cams/intake) MAC catback. PMAS HPX. The Maf readings were about 900 counts so it has 100-150 hp in it before it pegs. AIT temps never got above 112. (blue line)

So with 6psi less the turbo still made about the same exact power and has a much better power curve (100rw under some areas), and I also removed the methanol injection that I had on it with the vortech t-trim?

The MPT70 has much more left in it I had a $30 boost controller that wasn't working right. The first pull it pegged my boost gauge a 30 psi. The dyno graph had it making 560rw at 4000 rpm and it was going straight up. I'm still running chambered mufflers so that might be holding me back alittle.

Good to see a decent comparison:woot2:

Also did I mention thats a 520$ Turbo brand new with a 1yr warr?:woot1:

that is quite a difference in overall power under the curve. I would like to see what the torque curve looks like. Was that turbo near its max cfm? I don't suppose so but I don't know too much about turbos.

That turbo is chillin at 14psi its rated at 30psi, but each motor combo determines the eff. at xxxrpm. that turbo can do 18-20psi effciently on most combos.
Yeah I would like to see the tq curve as well!!

For the record peak #s mean nuthin, power thru the band is where its at!

Also that turbo is only a P-trim wheel with a max rating of 800bhp.

Imagine a 76gts or something wow

The P-trim wheel is a entry level wheel with alot lower CFM rating/hp potential than say a Q or S wheel.

A 76gts (76mm S wheel) is rated at 1200hp for example

So he isn't maxing it out or even close to it. With a better H/C setup that thing would put down insane numbers. Is that on a Mach or a 99-01 Cobra? I saw 4V setup and just can't imagine the kind of power output at 30psi.

With those higher hp wheels doesn't it take longer to spool?

He def has room to grow!!!!

The bigger turbos with good wheels have great spool characteristics....then again c.i. head flow exh flow, A/R size all play a roll in spool time. Most of the ones I named in the 76mm range will be up by 3000-3200 on a decently built combo....why they cost 1300$ for a turbo.

damn, almost looks like a n2o graph. nice kick in the pants.
