Hey guys, new to the site, and new to the Cobra's. I have an '04 Cobra, and to my knowledge, other then exhaust, it is stock. I'm sure that everyone has this problem, but I can't keep the wheels on the ground. I mean it's bad, when I punch it in second, it wraps up spinning. What suggestions do you all have on some tires that I can get decent drivability, but that hook up good.

:welcome4:

A set of drag radials in the rear will help you hook up better.

I will have pics of her up soon. What kind of DR's do you suggest, and how is the drivability around town with them?

Nitto makes a drag radial that works well on the street. You won't even know they are back there.

agreed, just don't try using them at the track, its a waste of time on the terminator...

Thanks alot, I found the Nitto 555r at discount for like 180 ea. I'll look at these when I get some new tires.

Do you guys now if any shows or meeting places for all the Terminators in the valley?

A set of DR's and you'll be good to go! Nitto's hook pretty good for a long lasting DR.

You will need a Snell 2000 or better helmet if you plan to race.

Hmmm...I would like to run just to see where i'm at, but I dont have a helmet. Where would I get one? I've got a half shell for my Harley, but I dont suppose that would work.

if its snell 2000 it would

check under the lining on the inside of the helmet for a snell tag

I believe Loper's has auto helmets.

Motorcycle shops also.

You will need to get a full face I believe. To my knowledge, Snell will not pass a half face helmet and has only passed a few with a flip up chin. Check out the guys at The Helmet Harbor here in Gilbert. They are one of the largest motorcycle helmet distributors in the country and they will hook you up. Go there before you check a motorcycle dealer. As BurnTire mentioned, I believe I've seen a helmet inside of Loper's.

Open face is allowed as far as I know. I will have to check the rule book.

You may be right, I know there are different standards from the Snell Foundation for different uses and they may be acceptable for automotive racing. I'm more familiar with the Snell Motorcycle standards so I wouldn't put it past me to be wrong.

yup there are snell helmets that are not full face. I got my snell 2005 helmet from a motorcycle shop near 59th and bell or somewhere around there. Paid 50 for it
