I'm going to be getting the American Racing Razor wheels, but not sure what offset to go with. The tires will be 255/35 and the wheels will be 20/9 and I can either get them in 24mm or 40mm offset. I heard with the 24mm offset the tires will stick out about 1/4" past the fenders. Anyone know how the 40mm offset wheels would sit? I remember reading the 40mm offset would be better if your planning on lowering the car, which I will be doing. But then I've seen lowered cars with 24mm offset. So I'm confused

The 40mm offset should make them fill the wheelwells perfectly.

Best fit for wheels where the tires don't rub the front struts on the S197 is to have a 40-45mm offset on the front wheels.

You might want to ask some of the guys on themustangsource.com to be sure--more than a few people have those wheels there.

Actually the 24mm offset would give even better clearance to the strut than the 40mm offset ones...but the 40mm ones will fill up the wheelwells without sticking out past the fender, and still provide clearance for the struts.
