Diamond racing wheels makes a set for your application.

Whats your guys take on staying with the 16" rim? SHould I swap over to GT rear brakes or just grind the caliper to fit a 15? Is grind alot of work or just a little?

I would go with the GT rotors. Painless and I can't tell any difference is braking.

I agree with Jeff, just go with GT brakes. I never noticed a difference with the smaller brakes either.

i'm def out my shippment hopefully is shipping out tomorrow. I changed my plugs to tr6's today. 2 hours to finish up the install, but still have to meet up with nic pull a few degrees of timing and get on the dyno to make sure my af is good. Oh and waiting on a little sticker of a tire to come in, nittos are done after 5k miles. Big burnotus just to get them to stick killed them. Et street dr or hoosier qtp's, qtps will probely hurt me n/a but will love the spray

Gene you can borrow mine if ya want. I will probably be headin out there. Wont run unless the car's electrical system is feeling like cooperating. Unless I try to get 13's with the truck, cold air, and decent tires.

AZSonicSnake
01-19-08, 01:25 AM
yup. we did. i am working on getting the video up.

all i can say is that was flat out the most awesome race i have ever ran. jay is one hell of a driver. thanks for the badass run brotha.

and the video was too big for youtube, so i am working on getting it up on google video now. i will find a way to cut it down and get it on youtube soon, but now it will just be on google. trust me, its awesome. seems that my camera shoots decent video.

I saw your run, very impressive, how much $$ do you have in your car !!! lol

I was dissapointed in the whole TV show thing, getting there at 630 and not running till 830 kinda sucked, only did 1 run and said to hell with it. They should of had you on the show. Anyways not sure whats going on with me I pulled a 13.3 @ speedworld a few weeks ago, can't get anything better than 13.6 @ firebird !! Seems like I am losing something on the top end, anybody with suggestions? I am N/A, mods in sig.

Had some fun even though we didn't run until 9. Ran my astonishing 12.45 @ 118 om 18" DR's. I really need some slicks. Tony and Jay's cars are awesome. I didn't know there was crash derby in the pit area Jeff....... Hopefully next time with the slicks I can run in the 11's. I guess on the bright side that was my fastest run. :woot2:

AZSonicSnake
01-19-08, 10:52 AM
yea, the video thing did suck big time. but it was not a huge deal since i knew i was not gonna get many runs in anyways. hahaha.

btw- great times wicked cobra, i was very impressed with that on an 18" tire. wait till you get some rubber that hooks!! and it also was great to meet ya and hang out last night.

Cool, Lets do this again. Maybe I will have to venture up to Speed World next time.

AZSonicSnake
01-19-08, 12:16 PM
for sure! though i will not be back out to speedworld till i get a cage in. they know my car very well, and i probably could not get away with fudging the time on the tech card. i have 8-10 sub 11.5 runs in there. though most were 11.3-11.5.

How often does everybody go to firebird? i've gone once and only was able to get 4 runs it cause it was so jam packed. i'd like to go again and meet up with some of you folks.

i go often. but i destroy a transmission almost everytime. im going to swap a tr6060 from a gt500 into my car within the next couple months

once that is done, then ill be going back more often. should allow me to shift into the lower 11s
