You will need to get into the control arms to start.

HPM Mega Bite Jr. control arms seem to be well liked and produce better hooking ability.

You will also want to get a set of double adjustable upper control arms so you can set the correct pinion angle. Steeda makes a nice set.

I would not recommend solid bushings in the arms on a street car.
Go with the Poly bushings on the uppers and lowers.

You also can get into shocks and struts, but I would do the upper and lower control arms to start and see how you like the results.

You will be able to eliminate the quad shocks with the stiffer bushing control arms.

Do you do your own work on the car?

The control arm swap is easy. You will need and angle finder to set the pinion angle.

What is "the action, then reaction," that is making the cars rear end kick out so hard?

The differential always seem to drive the right tire a little harder than the left which gives you tail wag when breaking loose. The key is to have a suspension that will plant the rear better.
