Hi everyone! I want to invite everybody to Smartshield's Open House on Friday April 25th between 10am and 2pm at my Deer Valley location
1515 West Deer Valley Road, Phoenix

Xpel Technologies, the industry leader in paint protection film will be on hand with their traveling roadshow. They have chosen Smartshield to showcase their new "premium" paint protection film.

We will be demonstrating an install with the new film, and there will be lunch provided as well.

Hope to see you there!

Everyone welcome Tim from Smartshield to the site. I have seen some of their products and they are top notch. If you want to stop paint chips they have a solution for you. Be sure to keep them in mind for your Auto Tint and protection needs.

For sure. I am gonna get this done. Both the Cobra and the Lightning need this after I get the fronts and hoods repainted. Good thing they are the same color

for people that live out of state could some items be ordered and shipped? Also do you have to be certified to install?

There is nothing stopping a person without certification from installing Smartshield, however... I have tried it myself, and it was extremely frustrating and difficult. I am lucky to have two of the best installers in the United States working for me. Both have years and years and thousands of installs under their belts.

i can vouch for that! i watched the guy put on the 3m clear bra that is on the cf hood on my wifes mazda 6, and lemme tell ya! that was some work. but its more than worth it. we had the entire hood done, and that was 3 years ago, and it still looks flawless!

Hey Tim, thanks for the message on tint. Question for you, what are the major differences between the Huper Optik DREI tint and the Madico?

The biggest difference between Madico and Huper Optik is heat rejection.
Madico Charcool rejects 45% in the Limo (5%) film.
Huper Optik DREI rejects 70% in a 35% (Arizona Legal) film.

Welcome to the site. I have a question for you: I am wondering if I already have a few rock chips and I have applied some touch up paint is that a problem getting the clear 3m cover now?:icon_cool:

It's not a problem to apply Smartshield over areas that have been touched up, however...
if you wanted the end result to be flawless, I would recommend getting it repainted. Touch ups are often not "flush" with the rest of the paint and so you might be able to see slight imperfections such as a bump or an air pocket.
