They are both great blowers and it's really just which ever one you like better.

New whipple (W140AX) owns you unless you get a 10 rib 2.4 KB and spin it past 26 PSI...

Although on the same note...Kenne Bell prices are hitting the shitter though cause of the W140AX unit.

It's all about the $$$...if you got the cash go for the gold.

The gold is a single 76mm turbo. Either have Dan build you one or call Hellion. There isn't a twin kit on the market right now thats worth a shit for the 03/04.

I concur with Burntire & U1arunit, WHIPPLE......

I have read about a lot of problem's with the KB setup. Even the new one has some problem's with oil. When people called KB to complain and find out what might be wrong, KB said that customer installed it wrong. Plus, this goes to show how good the customer service is. I would not buy one from them.

With thank's to Burntire & U1arunit with some subliminal messages from me, the wife has given me the green light to get the WHIPPLE. I am now saving my pennies & counting the days.

If anyboday is curious on what the message was......I told her what begins with a W and ends with a ipple? Either she was tired of me repeating that, or it worked.... Either way the whipple will soon be on.......

Just make sure you buy the supporting mods as well. Injectors, maf, bap, tuner, Dynojet WBC,

im a KB fan but whipple is good too, i just wish someone would get a whippled cobra in the single digits.

I would do the 2.6 for sure. if your in the military and been to afghan or iraq KB will give you 10% off. You cant beat that.......thats over 300 bones =)

if i wasnt dumping my left nut into my 66 i would do it (almost did)

If Whipple would release their 3.3 that would be the blower to have. But you cant get an answer out of them when it will be done.

What makes the hellion an improvement over the kb or whipple?

What makes the hellion an improvement over the kb or whipple?

It's much easier on your engine and makes anywhere from 50 to 100+ more rwhp at the same PSI as your eaton/TS will.

No more belts to shred either :icon_lol:

Its all up to you and what you want to do with your car. I like the twin screw. I have no intentions of going faster than 10.0 @ 135. Turbo will cost you more money, but it does create more power at a given PSI level due to the fact it does not have to turn a belt like the supercharger. Gene on this site has a hellion kit if you have any questions.

I have been driving a ford escort rental car, its free so I cant complain too much but I cant tell you how badly I want my cobra back. I am going to go with either the KB or Whipple because BurnTire makes a good point and I have no need to go any faster then 10's. I use my car as a daily driver and I just dont want to worry about it being in the shop every other week. Do any of you other guys with the whipples use your car as a daily driver?

My car is a fun car only, but with a safe boost level 15PSI and a safe tune you are very safe for a daily driver.

Whipple is quiet
KB is a loud.

REALLY!!!?! What do you have to do to prove it to them? Send them a copy of your DD214? I'm thinking Kenne Bell!

From what I've been told by a few people on svtp is that all you have to do is send a copy of your military I.D. I personally wouldn't send my DD214 to anybody because identity theft is so bad in our country right now. And what better than to have a soldiers most important military document in the hands of a crook. Your SSN is on it plus everything you've ever done in the military. I would tell Whipple KB is offering me a military discount and see if they will match it. Because you can't beat ze reliability of ze vipple!

Ive heard good and bad for both. I have a KB 2.6 with no issues at all on 20 psi all the time. Customer service does have some smart a**es though if you do have questions....

I'm not putting that system on my car.
It's great system, but I'm no longer gonna support HPP Racing or ProTurbo.
I'm going with a total custom PSR fabbed in house single.:icon_cool:

Wow I hope the OP has decided by now, but imo the Whipple is a more efficient supercharger where as the KB 2.2 is the screamer and the other KB's don't seem to compare power wise to the Whipple, other than the 2.8 but that is a blower more designed for built motors. Just my .02
