I currently have 1" wheel spacers on my 03 cobra from the previous owner. I am buying a set of FR500's- 18x10's, with the BFG Dr's, 295/35/18's.

Question1- Do I need a spacer with the FR500's. I know that the 1" is too much, but I have heard of people running a 3/8" spacer with this wheel size/tire combo. Is it necessary?

Question 2- I currently have a 1" spacer. Am I correct in assuming I will need to replace the studs that are currently installed for the 1" spacer if I go with a 3/8" spacer, or no spacer at all? If so, what studs do you guys recommend?

Thanks for any input.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but I thought you only needed the spacer for the IRS bolt interference when using 17x10.5's. With the 18's you shouldn't need a spacer at all. I used the 3/8's one from Lethal Performance with my 17x10.5's. Mine was barely hitting so with the 18's you should have more clearance. Also, when I lowered my car the clearance got better.

Would like some clarification because I want to go with some 18x9/18x10's in the future!

You shouldn't need any spacers. I had 18x10 and 17x10.5 with 2953518/3153517 on my cobra lowered and know problems.

As far as needing to replace the studs..If they are hub centric meaning the spacer bolts to the axle then the wheel bolts to the spacer then no you do not need to replace the studs.
