Spark Plugs: Motorcraft AGFS12FM1 (colder then the late model 22's OEM)
Milage: 800

Tune: Predator 91 Octane Canned (adjusted) Tune

Does the Strap LOOK like it is halfway or closer to the Tip? Coloration of the strap. I know the ring shows it being too rich, which my A/F verified it as well. (10.5 after 5500rpms)...cant get the predator to go leaner at the top end without messing up the tip in and bottom portion of the A/F :bash:

to lean for my taste.

They don't look bad. I have the SCT Pro Racers package and a base tune from RWTD. It is nice to be able to tune yourself. I run the same plugs in my car with no issues. There was no evidence of rich or lean conditions when I checked the plugs during the Whipple install. I had some tip in detonation problems when I first did a pulley on the car. It was corrected by pulling a little timing a various load levels below 2500 RPMS.

Is the tune done on your car yet?
I want a ride.

to lean for my taste.

Please advise where you see that on the picture?

The plugs only have 800 miles on it and I could never get a real story until it has a few thousand miles on it. The 22's I pulled out has the ring completely black which should be an indication of being to rich for optimum HP vs TQ.

Also, the A/F Gauge doesnt show me any lean conditions but just at the bottom end...12.0 ~ 12.5, which is nothing IMHO.

Is it difficult to use? Id my "X" tuner use it & it looked fairly simple.

Predator CANNED Tune works ok. Im off a good 2 ~ 4mph from an actual tune vehicle...my 17* aint shit....LOL

They don't look bad. The car should take a few seconds to transition when you go into WOT. So if you see 12.0-12.5 initially no big deal it is normal. If I go WOT at 2000 RPM it takes about 2 seconds to get to 11.8 and stays there to the redline.

Man, I need to review my post before pushing on the post botton.

:bash:

Hum...yeah, mine car jumps pretty fast to the 11.

I believe the strap is telling me the that heat range is bit too cold, but im not 100%.

It is not too hard to learn. RWTD has a support forum and so does SCT.
It is great to be able to do things yourself. With the package the xcal2 links to your laptop for data-logging. Just do a 3rd gear pull form 2000 to the red-line then analyze the log and make any adjustments you need to the MAF transfer curve etc. U1arunit on this forum is also a pro racers package user.

At least 1 range colder is recommended for any cobra with a pulley.

They do look white white for sure. If you want a true test you are going to need to make a WOT pass then shut down and immediately pull a few plugs. Sometimes it takes a while to color the plugs the color that they are going to be.

You need to either get a custom tune from someone like RWTD or think about doing your own tuning like we do with the SCT PRP. Like Jeff said it's not that hard to learn but it certainly isn't for everyone. You can get a mail order tune and take the car to a dyno to see where you are regarding AF etc and for most of the people this works great.
