Just curious to see what the markups are at various dealerships in various areas. In Indiana, the markups dont seem as bad as they are most places.

Was quoted:

2007 GT500
Terre Haute Ford
Terre Haute, Indiana
$15,000 over MSRP

Going for around $20,000 over in Western PA.

Anything over invoice is too high for me.

Even paying invoice would be crazy. I think Ford is going to ruin the car with where they have priced it. I know I'll be spending my money elsewhere.

Wait for the new Camaro to debut. If the rumors I have heard about it are true, the Shelbys will be coming down in price. I've got a few pics of the Camaro (SS, Z/28, who the hell knows) top dog's powerplant, it is a monster.

i wouldn't pay msrp let alone over sticker. not trying to take a stab at the shelby's, i just don't think they are worth the price tag.

I used to want one, but I dont think so now after seeing one in person. The only thing I like about them is the front end of the car and the spoiler. I dont care for the hood or wheels. The interior isnt really all that diffrent from my GT. The stripes are crappy looking IMO. They are decals, not painted. If I keep my car and get a spare $15K or so, my car will be perfect looking and be a hell of alot faster than a shelby.

LOL... Yeah, not getting any responses to my ads on various sites (which is happening) will let me keep it.

i love Ford but I would never pay a cent over msrp for a shelby, it really pisses me off the way that the whole thing has been handled. I think for 40k though, its a good deal. You are getting a 500hp car that soon will be as easy to upgrade as the terminators are. (i own a 04 cobra) I have read alot on the cameros and their top end ss will only have a 505 hp engine in it (same as the z06) from there dollar for dollar it will be easier and cheaper to put rwhp on the shelby then it would be to put it on the camero. So the shelby still looks like the better buy if they ever get the price down to msrp.

With the way folks were throwing 150 shots on the previous SS...GM is going to be replacing a lot of LS7's if the new SS has the same configuration LS7 as the current Z.

Wait for the GT500 KR. It will have a Ford GT engine in it.

About six months ago I paid $12,000 over sticker for my GT500, in Northern California. The dealer had a mark up price tag of $20K over, but we settled for the $12K.
The best I could find down here in southern cal. was $20K over sticker.

:greedy:I work at Power Ford of North Scottsdale. They have an 08 mineral gray with the optional nav and the HID lights. The MSRP is 47,000. Hand written on the window sticker is the absolutely ridiculous market adjustment value of $20,000!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!! Here is the real funny part, the car has been sitting on the floor now for three months with no offers, and they wonder why they can't sell it!!!! All of these dealers need to wake up and come back to reality. Oh, if anyone is interested, they have a twin turbo S7 for sale. It could be yours for $672,000!! What a Steal!!!!!! Sorry, I'm done ranting.

There are deals everywhere on the GT500's and Shelby GT's. Invioce to a few thousand over and just wait until more Se's come out and the Challenger and Camaro. It will be like a grab bag at a party.. What color and waht options do you want and how much do you want to pay.. Patience grasshopper!!

See if that link works. It is the suggested retail price for a "Used" 2007 bone stock Shelby with 1100 miles on it.

I'd say if you could get one this year for MSRP that you should buy it :icon_cool:
