    New Mustang for 2014

Ford is now in the process of "locking down" the next Mustang, due as a 2014.  J. Mays has confirmed that the next Mustang will go in a different direction, seeking a new group of buyers.  It looks as if the retro style will not continue, however there are many styling ques that symbolize the Mustang that will be evident on the next car.  Previous info out from Ford Media indicated that the next iteration will be smaller, lighter, have independent rear suspension and Ecoboost.  The '14 Mustang will be ready for the 50th party.....where ever it is.  Ford had previously said the next car was to be a '15 but that appears that they want to keep with the tradition set by the first intro.  We are all waiting!

Didn't figure they could keep with this S197 body style much longer. Hopefully its not intended to go in the Mustang II direction either. I also read somewhere that they are going to take the advise from the overseas opinions this time around. Guess that means no cup holders !

The October issues of Motor Trend has a nice piece on the future Mustang. Less retro, IRS, and maybe a 2.5 4-banger with boost. They are saying no eco-boost by 2012 and no Mustang II iteration

I'd rather deal with the real IRS (taxes) than deal with another IRS Mustang. Maybe my 10 year trend of buying a new Mustang every 2 years has only 1 cycle left...

If they weren't retarded, we'd still be able to buy a brand new 1969ish Boss 429.
