Getting my '97 Cobra dyno-tuned tomorrow...

Mostly stock (BBK CAI & Throttle body, exhaust). What do you guys think she'll lay down?

It's a Dynojet (AZ Dyno Chip in Chandler).

The tuner is pretty optimistic - he thinks she's good for 300 RWHP +/-. He knows a lot more about it than me and I sure hope he's right!

    Have a great Friday guys!

300 would be a really good number for a stock motor. Good luck!

    She managed 275 RWHP / 267 RWTQ. The good news (I guess) is that the tuner feels it can run better. I need to bring it back for more work to diagnose why the numbers were not what he thinks they should be. It could be poor gas (I lent the car to a relative and can't vouch for the quality or octane). It also could be the side exit exhaust. I hoped for better - but in reality, it came with 305 and I've only added a few mods. Maybe 300 was wishful thinking! :-}

Those are very respectable numbers. If you use 17% as your drive train loss, that puts you at about 330 at the crank. It's all about making the most with what you've got

To be honest, 275 is exactly what I expected initially. The tuner convinced me that it would go higher. I'll fill it with some good gas and wait until it's a little less humid and go back to see what's up.

    Not bad at all ....
When you say exhaust, do you mean just cat back?

I need to get my 96 Cobra tuned now that I am here and prem is only 91 octane and it is crazy hard to find/high $$$ for 100 :(
Would Really like to get a re-worked intake before the tune ... even better would be to also do a PnP on the heads and add cams

With the below mods and the super high humidity midwest air she was at 298
    JBA Silver Ceramic Headers
    Bassani o/r X-pipe
    Hooker Aero Chamber Cat-Back Exhaust
Ceramic Coated WMS Cold Air Intake with 87mm Pro-M and K&N Filter
    ASP Underdrive Pulleys
    Bilstein Shocks & Struts
    Pro3i LCA's, UCA's & C/C Plates
    FMS C Springs
FMS 4.10 gear, 31 Splin & Trac Lock
    SCT Custom Dyno Tune

Yeah, I should have been more clear! Stock manifolds, x-pipe and catback side exhaust. Do you have short or long tube headers?
