    Welcome to the site. I have a question for you: I am wondering if I already have a few rock chips and I have applied some touch up paint is that a problem getting the clear 3m cover now?
    2007 Mustang GT/CS - 20 inch Custom Boyd Coddingtons, BFG KDW, Ford Racing air intake, x-pipe, pro cal tune, JBA axel backs.

    It's not a problem to apply Smartshield over areas that have been touched up, however...
    if you wanted the end result to be flawless, I would recommend getting it repainted. Touch ups are often not "flush" with the rest of the paint and so you might be able to see slight imperfections such as a bump or an air pocket.

    good call! i had a chip in the gelcoat on that cf hood i mentioned, and man you can see it with the clear bra....
