    I agree with HIKER 100%.
    The oil that is pumped out of the U.S.A. will go to the highest bidding country.

    We will have also depleted our country’s internal oil supply that may be need to support a long term defensive military campaign some day.

    We need to preserve the ability to maintain a strong military using only our own internal resources if need be. As the saying goes “Hope for the best, but plan for the worst”.

    What we need to do is get rid of our dependancy on oil. Alternative fuel is what we really need to focus on.
