why did you put it in the engine bay? I have seen other do it too. But imo, what IF (I know..the what IF factor!!) something happens to the line or connection comes loose and you spill. just a big mess to clean up!

and how will you check/drain it? i thought the TCI Pro-x was a great setup. easy to drain too.

There was absolutely no room under the car. I wanted it to vent into the bottom of the can, then any fluid would just drain back into the tranny but that wouldn't work with the limited room so the tube enters from the top. There is a drain on the bottom of the can and I can pop the top vent nut to take a look into the can. With how far up the line goes UP I doubt fluid will ever reach the can. It may spit a little out on the top end of the track that would just drain back into the tranny.

The TCI looks like a nice setup.

what trans temp do you guys see on the street normally?

and do you guys build boost good off the trans brake?

i ask cause my trans temp seems a bit high, at 200/210 on the street, and on the trans brake my car sits at 3500 rpms and only builds about 4psi?

    thanks

I have never seen above 200.

Did you have a cooler with a fan on it? If so wire it to run at all times like I did.

In the 100+ days cruising around my temp is usually 180.

When it is cool out 160.

I have a blower so I see 20 PSI on the transbrake.

It is not good to sit on the TB for more than a few seconds. It generates massive amounts of heat and is very hard on the converter.

yeah i have the small B&M super cooler, but i mounted it in the rear, cause i dont have any room up front from all the all TT piping.

Looks good. I have the large cooler and I wired the fan to a manual switch and run it all the time. Maybe you don't have enough cooler with the small unit.

    Is that a UCC converter?

Are you running a two step in conjunction with the transbrake?

yeah its a UCC converter, right now im just running the trans brake, might get the two step later, i wanna see how it is just on the brake for now.

but right now my trans brake doesnt seem right, it wont rev higher than 3500rpms and and the boost only goes up to 4psi,

I also have to get my speedo to work. i hooked that up to my rear ABS toner ring, and nothing is registering, (maybe i have the wires backwards, im going to rewire it and try it again)

How long are you sitting on the brake?
What stall was the converter built for?

The RPM's will stop increasing when the converter locks.

Do you still have the ABS hooked up?
